Use the Languages screen to turn languages on or off for your company. The languages you turn on are the language options in much of the admin, such as the Language field when you add or edit an admin, the page editor’s language preview, and translations.

Where to find it

In the admin, click the Settings gear in the top bar. In the Settings sidebar, under Company, select Languages.

What’s on the screen

The screen lists every language Fluid supports, one row per language. Above the list:
  • All, Active, and Inactive tabs show every language, only the languages that are on, or only the languages that are off.
  • The sort button (the up-and-down arrows icon) opens Sort By. Choose Name or Users, then Ascending or Descending.
  • The search box finds a language by name in the current tab.
Each row shows:
  • Name: the language’s name.
  • Users: how many people in your company have this as their language, including reps, customers, and admins.
  • A switch at the end of the row that shows whether the language is on for your company.

Turn a language on or off

Turning off a language also removes it from the Language rule in the access rules of any mobile app page or mobile app navigation that uses it. Turning the language back on doesn’t add it back to those rules, so you need to add it again.
1

Find the language

Click Inactive to find a language to turn on, or Active to find one to turn off. You can also type its name in the search box.
2

Click its switch

The change saves right away, and you see Language updated successfully. If you’re on the Active or Inactive tab, the language moves to the other tab.
If a change fails, Failed to update language appears and the switch returns to its saved position.
You can’t turn off your company’s default language. The change fails with a note that the default language can’t be deleted. New companies start with English as their default, and this screen doesn’t mark which language is the default.

FAQ

Search only looks in the tab you’re on, so click All first, then type the language’s name. The list already includes every language Fluid supports, and you can’t add a new language from this screen. To ask about a language that isn’t listed, contact support.
Email Fluid support at help@fluid.app. The Getting help page lists what to include in your request.
