Where to find it
In the admin sidebar, under Storefront, select Collections.To open this screen, your role needs View only or Full access for Collections. To create, edit or delete collections, it needs Full access. On the Roles screen, Collections is in the Commerce card. Open the card and set access from the Collections area’s menu, not the card’s.
What’s on the screen
The Add Collection button is at the top of the page.- The All, Published, Scheduled, Draft and Archived tabs filter the list by status.
- Use the search box to find a collection.
- Preview: the collection’s image, or an empty frame if it has none.
- Name: the collection’s title. Click it, or anywhere on the row, to open the collection.
- Status: Published, Draft, Archived, or Scheduled with the date and time it goes live.
- Countries: the countries the collection is limited to, shown as up to two flags plus a count of the rest, such as +3. All means the collection isn’t limited and is available in every country you sell in.
- Date Modified: when the collection was last changed.
Create a collection

Start a new collection
On the Collections screen, click Add Collection. The Create Collection page opens.

Enter the details
In the Collection Details card, enter a Title. Add a Description and, under Media, click Select Image to choose an image. Images can be JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP or SVG, up to 10MB.

Add products
In the Associated Products card, click Add Products. In the picker, click Add next to each product you want, then click Done. Drag products by their handle to set the order they appear in on your storefront.

Set status, countries and template
Use the cards on the right. See Collection settings.

Create the collection
Click Create Collection. A confirmation message appears and the collection’s page opens.
Edit a collection

Open the collection
In the list, click the collection, or choose Edit from its actions menu. The Collection Details page opens.

Make your changes
Change the details, products or settings. To remove a product, click Remove next to it.

Save
Click Save. A confirmation message appears. Save is grayed out when there’s nothing to save.
- Preview: opens the collection’s storefront page in a new tab. It’s grayed out until the collection has a storefront URL.
- Translations: opens a panel where you translate the Collection Title, Description and Collection Image into your company’s other languages. Click Save in the panel.
- Actions: a menu with Reset Cache, which starts clearing the stored copy of the collection’s storefront page, and Delete Collection.
Collection settings
The cards on the right of the collection’s page:- Status: choose one of these.
- Published: live and visible to the public.
- Draft: hidden from public view.
- Scheduled: goes live at the date and time you choose. Pick them, then click Schedule Activation. If you close the picker without a date, the status goes back to what it was.
- Archived: retired and hidden from public view.
- SEO And Link Sharing: click Edit to open the panel. See Set SEO and link sharing.
- Countries: the countries the collection is available in. Leave it at All Countries to make it available everywhere you sell, or choose countries to limit it.
- Theme Template: the template from your active theme that displays the collection’s page. If your theme has no collection templates, choose Create Template. You need an active theme to create one.
- Analytics: Shares, Page Speed and Content Compliance for the collection’s page. Click a metric to see its details.
A scheduled collection can still be opened by direct link before its date. Scheduling controls when it appears in listings and can be indexed by search engines. It isn’t a privacy setting.
Set SEO and link sharing

Open the panel
On the collection’s page, in the SEO And Link Sharing card, click Edit.

Fill in the fields
Enter a Title Tag and a Meta Description, and choose an SEO Image. Use Preview to see how the link looks as a Google Search Result, a Text Message or on X (formerly Twitter).

Set the URL and visibility
The collection’s URL slug is made from its title. To set your own, turn on Use custom slug and enter the URL Slug. Turn off Search engine visibility to keep the collection out of Google and other search engines.

Close the panel and save
Click Done, then click Save (or Create Collection for a new collection).
Delete a collection

Choose Delete
In the list, choose Delete from the collection’s actions menu. On the collection’s page, open Actions and choose Delete Collection instead.

Confirm
In the Delete collection? dialog, click Delete. On the collection’s page, the dialog is Delete Collection and so is its button. A confirmation message appears.

Your role can view collections but doesn’t have Full access for Collections. The fields and settings are grayed out and there’s no Save button. Ask an admin who manages roles to update your role. See Roles.
